Producer Background:
Frankcomb Pinot Noir is produced with a precise hand-harvested approach in late April to early May 2023. A small proportion (around 5%) of whole bunches was included in fermentation to enhance complexity, complemented by a gentle destemming of the remaining fruit. The wine underwent a five-day cold soak to extract colour and tannin. Wild fermentation took place naturally, followed by draining, pressing, and maturation in French oak barriques for ten months. The wine was then carefully blended, filtered, and bottled, resulting in a refined expression of Tasmania’s cool climate Pinot Noir.

Flavour Profile:

  • Appearance: Vibrant, deep ruby colour
  • Nose: Lifted aromas of red berries, complemented by notes of spice and subtle hints of French oak
  • Palate: Rich and round with lively raspberry and cherry fruit characters; structured with chalky, succulent tannins and excellent length of flavour, offering a balanced and persistent finish

Food Pairings:
Enjoy Frankcomb Pinot Noir with:

  • Roast duck, chicken, or pork dishes to complement its spice and fruit
  • Mushroom-based dishes and earthy vegetarian options to highlight its structured tannins and subtle oak influence
  • Soft cheeses and charcuterie, allowing its fruit and spice nuances to shine

Open a bottle of Frankcomb Pinot Noir and experience a beautifully balanced, award-winning wine that reflects Tasmania’s cool climate finesse—perfect for both everyday enjoyment and special occasions.
