Vinaceous 'Red Right Hand' brings together three varieties from two Western Australian regions. Shiraz contributes colour, flavour and structure; savoury Tempranillo adds depth; and Grenache lends perfume and sweet-fruited richness. The result is a complex, generous red with a savoury, textural finish.

Critic Scores
The 2023 vintage has received 92-point ratings in sources citing Winepilot and Wine Orbit. Reviews highlight its red and dark fruit, savoury complexity and fine tannins. I could not verify a wine-show medal for this vintage.

Producer Background
The blend draws on warm Margaret River fruit and fruit from Frankland River, where warm days and cold nights contribute to the wine’s character. The varieties are fermented separately in open-top vats using traditional techniques, then matured in French barriques for ten months, with 10% new oak, before blending.

Flavour Profile

  • Appearance: Deep, bright crimson red
  • Nose: A complex mix of ripe berry fruits and savoury aromas
  • Palate: Rich, full and fruit-sweet, balanced by savoury, textural character and mature tannins. Tasting notes also describe red and black fruit, spice and fine tannins.

Food Pairings
Enjoy Red Right Hand with:

  • Grilled or slow-roasted lamb and beef
  • Barbecued meats and hearty stews
  • Savoury mushroom dishes or roasted vegetables
  • Aged cheeses and charcuterie

Its ripe fruit and structured tannins make it a natural match for robust, savoury food.
